Excellent comments, thoughtful and intelligent..

I am currently enthralled by Song, some of his defensive interventions are amazing, last gasp tackles are becoming standard for him. He has the rare ability to make time and space for himself with the ball, through a turn here, or a shimmy there, a trait few in the game have, but perhaps more gloriously possessed by Fabregas. I am particularly impressed with his positional and tactical awareness. He moves quickly to fill holes when our midfielders or defenders go marauding into the opposition's areas. Or when one of our players is in possession, particularly in the midfield areas, makes himself available for a short pass to either link or offer an outlet. And finally, his passing sometimes borders on the sublime, although he does make the occasional gaff. For me, he is developing into a truly world class defensive midfielder, who is also fully capable of moving into attack. All I think he needs add to his game is perhaps the odd crunching tackle.. Long may it continue Song, you proved many of us wrong..

"One Song, we've only got one Song"
(The chorus that rang out at my pub, after his involvement in the ruckus over nothing..)

Perhaps the 'u' in colour has something to do with pronunciation?? Speech has changed, but spelling has remained the same..

I remember when Lehman was in goal and every time we played spurs Robbie Keane would stroll into the box at corners and stand on Jens' toes which would have him leaping about dementedly. I believe he got booked a couple of times for shoving Keane in retribution. How much notice, or action, did the authorities take. Zero. Absolutely none. I saw John Terry fly into a tackle today with his boot not only dangerously high but also with real intent to injure. It was a red card. Don't expect to read about it though. He doesn't play for Arsenal and he is the England captain.

The triumvirate, DDS (Denilson, Diaby & Song), put in a very good shift yesterday. A very hard graft, resulting in a very good win.

As for Mr Orangy-Brownish-Red, the less said about him the better.

ManU got spanked. Chelsea are finding out what the other EPL teams are made of. Hughes found out money is not the solution to all problems; and that what goes around comes around.

Comeuppance all round.

@Gooner Ady, oh dear.

Dude, it's a joke. If anything I was taking the piss out of myself.

I love the English, I love the Arsenal and I'd be happy to prove it to you in person over a pint when I go over in March.

Cheers.

The players have the MOTM. Referees should have TAHOTW (the asshole of the weekend) or the TPOTW (the prick of the weekend). The hands down winner this weekend was mike dean for first giving the PK on the good Upson tackle and then the unnecessary triple do-over. WTF?

Someone here suggested we pick up 32yo Luca Toni. Good news, Bayern Munich will let him go for free this January. Parting shot from Louis Van Gaal: "Football is not about individuals, it is a team sport. It is not a hobby, it is a profession..."

I like Zola. I like the way WHU play. I like the fact that a team in the relegation zone came out and said to the mighty Chelsea: f**k you, we're not going to huddle our masses in front of our goal like scared little wimps.

You have to admire Portsmouth going after Liverpool.

Fulham's up field defensive pressure reminds me of the NJ Devil's neutral zone trap (before the lock out).

Man U lost. Defense missing 7 starters. No one even mentions when Rio will be back. We've got a slightly used CB that we can sell them for say 10m to help them out:) They wish they had Sylvester back :)

Chelsea draw. Too bad for Chelsea Mike Dean seemed to be on an anti-diving crusade. The usual suspects were falling all over the place without getting any reward.

This season seems to be proving that the big 4 are no longer feared and we have to ready to claw and scratch every game for 3 points.

Remember Diaby decided to hit the weights during the preseason. This is I believe only his 2nd season back from the Dan Smith tackle. Yesterday, Diaby rewarded Wenger for his continued faith and support.

Almunia just has to be the GK who beat out Lehmann and made PK saves against Roma.

You're right, other English people probably do read this blog. I'm sure they appreciate, too, you reinforcing the stereotype of Brits having no sense of humor (or humour). Goodness me, someone's knickers are twisted in a bunch. Next time try to make your point without the personal attack, mate. I expect more diplomacy from your side of the Atlantic.
