Arsenal 2010/2011 Kit “revealed” REDUX

Arseblog is reporting that Arsenal will be wearing a kit very similar to the kit that Arsenal Insider reported was in the works back in February.

Real or not, what’s fascinating is that the response to the idea of Arsenal making a retro kit here and other places has been overwhelmingly positive.

Personally, I’m struggling to figure out why Arsenal would celebrate the 1971 double season as our 125th anniversary strip. I also doubt highly that Fly Emirates would allow their name to be put in such small print and that Arsenal wouldn’t use the new logo, but what the hell, eh? It’s a nice fantasy while it lasts.

That said, there’s clearly a real desire from Gooners for Arsenal to revisit the red shirt with white sleeves as evidenced by the fact that we have now seen two different mock-ups with the same theme. I’m sure there will be more.

The Fly Emirates logo seem large enough to me.

We HAVE to get our white sleeves back at the very least.

The ArseBlog kit is awesome, but nore sure it will happen.

Lets just try not to look like Charlton or Middlesbrough next season.

I like the Arseblog Arsekit. But I agree that we should be wearing the original kit for the 125th anniversary. Or at least the one that was worn in our 25th season. Either way, I don’t really mind.

one other thing that makes it doubtful is that we in fact don’t celebrate 125 years next season, it will be christmas 2011, and that is in season 2011/12 and not next season

Why do you still have a pic of Flamini? Does it change like Arseblog’s pics?

I heard your letter being read on Up for Grabs Now.

@Sniff, yes, the picture changes. I like Flamini, I may delete it one day but I’m still holding on to old times.

Thanks for stopping by, stick around, I think you might find something you like after a fashion.

  • I think Man City’s Etihad logo was small and underneath the badge on one of their away kits this season. Looks really smart (so probably never going to happen…)

No way this will be used! Emirates will never go for that! 90 million sponsorship and a logo THAT small…you’re avin a turkish! AND the cannon is the wrong way round on that shirt! Not saying that I don’t like it, but I live in the real world, where teenage footballers drive round in 100k sports cars!
