Today’s post is brought to you by the Last American Virgin soundtrack and the theme song, Just Once…
They did their best,
but I guess their best wasn’t good enough.
Cause here we are back where we were before.
Drogba scored a brace again,
I think I might lose my mind again!
Wondering if we oughta stay
Or switch to rooting for a mid-table team.
Just once can’t we figure out what we keep doing wrong?
Why our defense isn’t very strong?
What is Clichy always doing wrong?
Just once can’t we find a way to finally make it right?
Make the magic last for more than just one night!
If we only had a keeper,
Then a striker and a sweeper!
Song gave his all
But I think his all may have been too much,
‘Cause Lord knows we’re not stopping anyone.
Seems we’re always blowing, the passes we got going
And seems at times with all our play,
We couldn’t score fried chicken at a buffet.
Just once, can’t we figure out what we keep doing wrong?
Why the good plays never last for very long?
Seems we’re always conceding
Just when we got going…
Just once, can’t Wenger find a way to finally make it right?
Make the magic last for more than just one night!
If we could only get a left-back,
I know our defense wouldn’t be so whack!
Just once, I want to understand
Why we can’t defend worth fuck on a fast break?
Why can’t we get ourselves in hand
And admit to one another
That Almunia is a disaster?
Buy the best and make it better,
Find a way to keep Cesc this Summer?
Just once can’t we find a way to finally make it right?
Make the magic last for more than just one night!
I know we can do it.
If we could just play different.
Just once,
Maybe buy a world class keeper.
Just Once…

I don’t think Quincy would focus that much on Clichy.
Speaking of whom, have you seen his calling to teammates to dig in via Arsenal.com? After those two games? WTF is doing the PR job there?
I really like the lad, but after his recent performances he could either go out and apologize to all (teammates, Arsene and – last but not least) or just shut the hell up and look for his lost form.

I did some “Theo-posting” here – tried to be quick and forgot to take some words with me.

@Miko_Gooner, I did see that, it’s quite odd.
The whole club seems to have lost the plot a bit. They better find it quick or we’ll all stop going to the dot com for news.
Hey Tim,
I wonder if this guy is reading your post. Is he waiting in the wings and try to get some intelligent juicy bits and rehash it?
The post was a day after your BLOG

@Jet Pinoy Gooner, That article’s just regurgitating the NY Times piece.
Mine actually went a step further and said that in the EPL there seems to be a bias against short players, who get yellow and red cards much faster than their taller counterparts.
I’m waiting for someone to write THAT article.
But, I’m sure that reporters read blogs.
So I’m going to remain positive and hope we beat Liverpool and that Utd and Chelsea both drop points this week at their tough away matches. But I’ve been reading some other blogs this morning, and the most optimistic of blogs, A Cultured Left Foot, is for some reason stating that new signings aren’t the answer, but rather the English solution, as Arsene says. WTF? How can they say this when some of our most effective players are all technically signings. Vermaelen, Arshavin, Nasri, Sagna. Were these players not signed? This aversion to engaging in transfer activity has kept us from challenging the stronger clubs. What this obstinacy is certainly is perplexing, and they even go so far as to label those who suggest adding 2 players are “doomers”. What a joke. So we’re not true supporters for thinking Arsene should’ve buttressed the club with 2 signings in January? Give me a break. Speaking of losing the plot.
What happened to Ramsey? Where is he?
Two words: Cech and Drogba. What really pisses me off is that Hull pulled a draw vs the chavs. I mean, Hull? draw to chelski? Arsenal are dead and buried at 30min 1st half? WTF? I know it doesnt work like that, but irregardless. So, Chelski vs Everton and ManIOU vs Villa. It seems that there’s still a lot of football to watch.
Last week I was questioned for my willingness to see Clichy off in the summer. Any questions now? Both goals are directly the fault of one Gael Clichy. Where was he on the far post during the first goal? Talking to Samir Nasri. Where was he on the second goal? Tracking Anelka instead of covering Drogba out wide. Terrible terrible terrible. Nothing to do with fitness either, all mental errors, like failing to stop Park last week, or letting Nani waltz past him. He has had a terrible run – Ashley Young abused him a fortnight.
New goalkeeper, new left-back, and a hard marking CB are needed. I don’t even say we need the striker everyone else is crying for, Bendtner when he came on actually managed to impose himself.

@BrahmaBull, Yep, you really showed all of us.
bravo!
besides loving song parodies, this revision was well perceived.
Arsenal did everything but score.
You must keep the faith because there are 100 ways to support your club!
Cheers!
