For my friends who gave me their seat at the game,
For my readers who have put me there just the same,
For the glory of the Invincibles
For Thierry Henry and his 229 goals,
For Paddy and Dennis and Robert Pires,
For Arsene Wenger and 16 years.
For pints of ale at the pub near Anfield,
For the one sight of Highbury now concealed,
For Cannons and Grimbo and Chary who write,
For beating Barcelona on that magical night,
For the 5-2 win over Tottenham,
For the 5-2 win over Tottenham,
Thanks.
What are you thankful for?
Why, I’m happy for the 5-2 win over Tottenham, of course!
For a team I can respect,
An unbeaten season,
For the wonderful players and the not so wonderful players,
A world class stadium,
The best manager in the world for our club and it’s in London.
On U.S. Thanksgiving I make the following toasts:
To 7 AM Kickoff for the best Arsenal posts
And the supporters who comment here with insight and wit
about the boys in the red and white kit
To the simple pride that make us beam
because we support the World’s Best Team
And finally to Arsenal FC
for all the joy it gives to me
Yes, all these things I’m thankful for
and a trophy this year to add to the lore.
To the Red & White team, I give you thanks,
You’re a real football team to us “other-football” Yanks.
And to the fans that might have been,
We’re by far the greatest team the world has ever seen.
To the manager, Wenger, loyal and true,
And not his nine peers all swaddled in blue.
And finally, thanks guy, who writes this blog,
Who by now is all turkeyed and drowning in grog.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I’m thankful that I get two Thanksgivings. One in Canada, and one in the US.
Also, I’m thankful for wine. Really thankful. So thankful, in fact, that I’m on my 5th glass.
Cheers!
I’m thankful for Niagara and its ice wine.
Oh, and the Arsenal. Why don’t we use the ‘the’ anymore!
I’,m thankful..that we are having Tomas Rosicky back in squad soon…
This is one player who if he stays fit for the rest of the season..can add to the squad depth…and let Wilshere, Cazorla take a breather..every now and then…
and of course the blog…more like a community..
Am giving thanks;-
For Thierry Henry,
For Kanu’s hattrick at Chelsea, and to Kanu himself,
For the invincibles,
For the Arsene Wenger of the David Dein era,
For the Arshavin show at Anfield,
For the sale of Adebayor and ofcourse,
For the parents of Thierry Henry & their entire genealogy back to Adam
Thankful we are not Chelsea … and we kept our manager
Thankful that Arteta has not been injured while we are without DM cover … and may that continue.
Thankful that Gibbs will be back soon …. but I would be more thankful if he and Diaby remain injury free until the end of the season ..
I know, that is asking too much, so I will remain thankful for whatever the can offor for as long as they can.
I am thankful for family and the Arsenal, both of which keep me going when the going gets tough. But my special thanks is for 7amkickoff. You put a smile on my face almost everyday
Sorry I’m late, but I want to thank for the new little Gooner that came into my life 3 weeks ago. And I’m thankful that he will be able to support the club that I love thanks to the self sustaining model!
Congratulations!
Thank you!

Right now, bizarrely, I’m thankful for the commercial dealings of Ivan Gazidis! i still want Usmanov in, and hate Kroenke etc. but Ivan just negotiated us a 30 million gbp/annum contract with our airline friends, which is just spectacular news in every way. Forward!
For being able to see my team in flesh, one time. For being able to love and respect them, all the time.
